This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for Cable Cabana. This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by Cable Cabana. It will notify you of the following:

  • What personally identifiable information is collected from you, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.

  • The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.
  • How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

 

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

  • We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via sales or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.
  • We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to ship an order.
  • Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.
  • Your Access to and Control Over Information
  • You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time.

  • Change/correct any data we have about you.

Security

  • We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.
  • Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the Web page.
  • While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

Customer Service Policy

Customer service is a top priority of Cable Cabana.  Each Cable Cabana customer will be treated promptly and respectfully without regard to age, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disability, language proficiency, social or economic status.

Cable Cabana employees are responsible and held accountable for providing the best customer service possible and are empowered to make decisions that will ensure all of our customers experience the best possible shopping experience.

Cable Cabana will work diligently and in good faith to bring about resolutions that are fair to both our customers and Cable Cabana.

Cable Cabana will ensure that your messages and/or telephone calls are answered within one business day.

Refund Policy

In order to qualify a full or partial refund, all returns, regardless of fault, MUST be returned to Cable Cabana within 30 days of the date of purchase.  For clarification purposes, “returned” is defined as the item(s) being in the physical possession of Cable Cabana.

Returns arising as faults or mistakes on the part of Cable Cabana will receive a full refund, no questions asked, after the item has been returned to Cable Cabana in an acceptable condition.  In cases such as this, Cable Cabana will provide a pre-paid return shipping label, and the item MUST be returned in its original packaging type. If the original packaging type is not utilized, you will be charged the difference between the original packaging type cost and the actual return packaging type cost, with the difference being deducted from the full refund.

Returns outside of the specified time period (see our Returns Policy for more details on this type of return), or not due to the fault of Cable Cabana will receive a full refund minus the following deductions:

  • Shipping Charges incurred by Cable Cabana to originally send the item,
  • If applicable, shipping charges incurred by Cable Cabana to return the item,
  • Restocking fees as outlined in our Restocking Fee Policy.

 

Refunds will be processed within 5 business days from the return delivery date of the item(s), and will be in the form of a credit back to the original form of payment provided at the time of sale.

Returns Policy

If for any reason whatsoever, you are unhappy with your purchase, you have 30 days from the date of purchase to return an item to Cable Cabana. Unless written approval is received from Cable Cabana, items returned beyond the 30 days of the date of purchase are not eligible to return. For clarification purposes, “returned” is defined as the item being in the physical possession of Cable Cabana.

In cases such as this, Cable Cabana will provide a pre-paid return shipping label, and the item MUST be returned in its original packaging type. Returns outside of the specified time period, or NOT due to the fault of Cable Cabana, will be accepted and refunded if ALL of the following conditions are met:

  • The return is approved, in writing, from Cable Cabana,
  • Buyer assumes all costs and liability to return ship and insure the item, and
  • The item is found to be in an acceptable condition upon its return,

Restocking Fee Policy

Restocking fees will be deducted from the full refund amount of the item. The full refund amount is the full purchase price which was paid for the item at the time of purchase.

Each return will be weighed, measured, and inspected to ensure the authenticity of the return. It is important to note that more than one (1) restocking fee may be assessed on the return. Depending on our assessment of returned item, restocking fees will be assessed in the following manner:

  • Item returned in original condition, able to be resold in its present state ($2.99)
  • Item returned in an acceptable condition, only needing to be re-coiled and re-banded so it can be resold ($4.99)
  • Item returned in an acceptable condition but brand imprints are not present on both ends of the cable (see Wire Shortage Policy)
  • Item returned in an unacceptable condition, including but not limited to, outer and/or inner insulation damage (10% of full purchase price for the lesser of each instance of damage, or inch of damage, whichever is greater.)
  • Item returned is not the item that was sent (100% of full purchase price)

Shipping Policy

All orders will be shipped within one (1) business day, or within 24 business hours after your order is placed.

We ship Monday through Saturday, excluding Federal Holidays.

Shipping is primarily done through the United States Postal System (USPS) using either Priority, First Class, or Economy Mail depending on the item being shipped.

Larger, more bulky items, are shipped using either Fedex or UPS.

Once your item(s) has shipped you will be emailed a tracking number, at which time you will be able to see which carrier has been utilized for your delivery.  If you do not see the tracking email in your inbox, please check your spam folder as your email server may have flagged the email as potential spam.

We can arrange for overnight and next day shipping for additional costs to you, the buyer.  If you are interested in expedited delivery please contact us and we will provide you a price quote for expedited shipping and, if you approve, we will send you an email invoice for the cost of expedited shipping.  Please note that your item will NOT ship until the emailed invoice has been paid.

Wire Shortage Policy

If you believe your order to be short, we will need two bits of information from you in the form of an email message to company@cablecabana.com before we will entertain a shortage issue.  First, we will need you to weigh your item, which should include the purchased item(s), the shipping box, and all packing materials (i.e. – peanuts, etc.).  Second, we will need you to verify that our imprint markings are on both ends of the wire.

The weight you provide us will be compared to the weight we logged for your package at the time your order was shipped.  As part of the investigation process, we will compare the weight of your order to the average weight of other orders for the same wire type.  We keep an updated database containing the average weight per foot for all the wire types we sell so, in cases like this we can simply multiply the length of wire you ordered by the average weight per foot for that wire type as recorded in our database, and compare that calculated weight to the actual weight of your order.  Since the “per foot” weight of electrical wire does not fluctuate greatly, this comparison will provide strong evidence as to how much product you were sent.  Also, as an additional 3rd party comparison, Southwire makes the nominal weight per 1000’ of electrical cable available on its website so you can see our weight measurements are on par with those of the manufacturer.  This information can be found at the following website address: southwire.com/ProductCatalog/XTEInterfaceServlet?contentKey=prodcatsheet6

The verification of our brand markings on each end of the cable ensures that you are actually in possession of the entire length of wire we sent you.

If the wire is returned to us in an acceptable condition and our imprint markings are present on both ends of the wire, we will re-measure the wire using our certified wire length counter.  If the actual length of the wire is shorter than what was ordered you will be provided a full refund.  If the actual length of the wire is NOT shorter than what you ordered, you will be assessed charges as outlined in our Refund Policy.

If the wire is returned to us in an acceptable condition but our imprint markings are NOT present on both ends of the wire, the following restocking fees will be deducted from your full refund:

All shipping charged incurred by Cable Cabana to fulfill the delivery and return of the item, plus one of the following:

  • If the returned wire is less than five (5) feet short, you will be assessed a re-stocking fee of 25%, calculated as the full purchase price paid for that item multiplied by .25.  
  • If the returned wire is short by more than five (5) feet but less than ten (10) feet, you will be assessed a re-stocking fee of 50%, calculated as the full purchase price paid for that item multiplied by .5. 
  • If the wire is shorter than ten (10) feet of the ordered length, NO refund will be provided.
